Superintendent Woods reported excellent attendance at the San Juan Institute for teachers and staff, with two days focused on Social-Emotional and Google Tech learning.Â
Fueling for the school buses has been approved. The District is still waiting for approval for the school buses to park at the SJ County offices off Beaverton Valley Road.
The middle school siding is almost done. Turnbull gym heater installation is almost completed. A sprinkler leak occurred. Mitigation is ongoing but will not affect the school starting on time.
Director Blake reported that final enrollment numbers for the Fiscal 25-26 school year was 787.5 for all grades. Financial numbers are still in progress and will be reported later, but the year was on budget.
A Special Public Meeting discussed Resolution 26-010, which is a budget extension for FY25-26. The Board approved the resolution.
Director Bevens indicated that food will be provided for  the special board meeting on September 21. Director Heller reported that WASDA elections are coming up. The state is considering a ban on K-12 cell phones at the upcoming state legislative session. If approved, it would be implemented in the FY27-28 school year.
